The International Academy of Law was among the 7 co-organizers institutions (International Roundtables for the Semiotics of Law, France; Multicultural Association of Law and Language, Hong Kong; International Academy of Linguistic Law, Canada; China University of PoliticalScience and Law, China; Zhejiang University, China; International Journal for the Semiotics of Law, France; International Journal of Law, Language and Discourse, Hong Kong). The Secretary General of the Academy,
prof. Joseph-G. Turi, was one of the invited guest speakers.

Chapelle, now available online or as a 10-volume print (7200 pages), provides a comprehensive resource spanning the entire of applied linguistics. The Encyclopedia includes over 1,100 entries written by an international team of scholars from over 40 countries. It was published on december 2012 by Wiley-Blackwell. The Secretary-General of the International Academy of Linguistic Law,
prof. Joseph-G. Turi, has written the article on " Linguistic Legislation" (pp. 3480-3486).
